Quaid-e- Azam Industrial Estate is one of the largest planned Industrial Estates of Punjab, spread over an area of 565 acres. It has 477 industrial plots of the sizes varying from 1 kanal to 10 kanals.
The initial infrastructure had become overloaded that necessitated development works in such a way that the new works needed to be interwoven with the existing works. This gave a peculiar dimension to financial planning and management. Cost and time constraints were additional considerations. Health and safety of the existing population during execution of the works were to be ensured.
Infrastructure Development consisted of two phases because of reasons
Availability of fund given by Government of Punjab and
Enabling regular flow of Traffic of industrial activities
DEVELOPMENT WORK PHASE-1
The infrastructure development commenced on September 02.2006 in small industrial area. The scope of works includes water supply, over head water tank, drainage, roads ,sewerage system, landscaping and street lighting. Construction works have almost been completed. Landscaping will be start on completion of all other activities. Its overall progress is about 95%. The cost of phase-1 is 200 million.

Construction works of phase -1, such as water supply, Drainage and Roads and sewerage system have almost been completed. Landscaping not yet started. Street Lighting work 70 % have also been completed.
DEVELOPMENT WORK PHASE-1
The infrastructure development of Phase-2 has already been undertaken on 18 Oct 2007 in Main Industrial Area. The scope of work is comprised of drainage system, roads and with 2 main entrance gates and 11 kiosks for factory workers. Overall 60% work has also been completed. The cost of Phase-2 is 141 millions.
Construction works of phase -11 have already been under taken since 18.10.2007.
